The Mysterious Caves of Drach

I was sitting in a cave. It was dark and quiet except for the murmur of lake water lapping against the shore.  Limestone stalactites dripped from the ceiling in fantastic shapes, and a slight breeze stirred the humid air. So far this had been a travel experience I wouldn’t soon forget . . .

  1. My husband is a geologist so we always make an effort to see geologically interesting sites when we travel. Unfortunately, many are rather bland to my untrained eyes. The Caves of Drach are definitely something we could both agree on!

    • These pictures hardly do it justice. The caves, combined with the water and the concert – it was a life-changing experience, and I don’t say that lightly. Thanks for commenting.
